As of February 2022, Microsoft has updated the entry-point for the Widgets feature. Once setup, the Widgets button will shift over to the far left of the Taskbar where the old Start button used to be, and will present up to date weather information directly on the Taskbar. This is a really nice feature, even if you don’t use the site oficial Widgets panel much. Being able to see the weather as glancable info directly on the Taskbar is a nice addition. The new Start menu has taken the simplistic approach to doing an app launcher.

To save the file, paste the screenshot into any program that allows you to insert images, like Microsoft Word or Microsoft Paint. Windows 10 is packed with useful screenshot features and Greenshot is a powerful tool, but each of the above methods has its own limitations. If you take a lot of screenshots and want more flexibility and options, you might want something even more powerful. To capture only the active window you’re working in, press Alt + PrtScn. In Windows 10 this will copy it to your clipboard, so you’ll need to paste it into another program to save it; in Windows 11, it’ll both copy and save it to the Screenshots folder right away.

Five sweat-soaked minutes later, I rebooted and saw my trusty Windows login screen. From there, I was able to proceed with the Windows 11 Update as normal. On a new PC, Windows 11 welcomes you with a series of setup screens that feel like you’re flipping through a spa brochure. Log into your Wi-Fi , enter your Microsoft credentials, and maybe grab a cucumber water while you wait.

The touch gestures are the same as when you’re using a Precision touchpad. That way, you’ll be using gestures that you’re already familiar with. The way you interact with the UI will be different as well. A big focus here is making Windows better for touch, something that Windows 10 has struggled with. Indeed, while Windows 8 was all-in on touch, Windows 10 felt like it scaled back a bittoo much. Windows 11 will support more swipe gestures and such, but more importantly, it should be more consistent with what happens when you tap on something.

The process can be made easier by using a tool such as DiskInternals Linux Reader. This software is easy to install and is an excellent way to mount Linux ext4 drives. The software is incredibly versatile, and can mount a wide range of file systems, including Ext4. However, you have to be careful during this mounting process as there are high chances of data damage or loss of essential data. Clean wiping involves overwriting the drive multiple times so that the chance of data recovery is minimal afterward. Most Linux distros support hundreds of partitioning and formatting tools, and as most of them work fine, it’s up to you to choose which one to use.
